Healthcare

Beacon of Kindness as a community based organization accepts voluntary contributions that aids in making a difference in healthcare provision. We realized that the area of South Kabuoch is faced with transportation problems owing to damaged roads and health facilities that are far apart hence poor outcomes on maternal and child health. The existing Community health volunteers also have a challenge as far as healthcare is concerned and the need for capacity building is a key issue. This will help greatly and will assist arrest mortality rate in the community. Our appeal is to well-wishers who together will bring to fruition the vision of the organization to ultimately save lives in time for a better, healthy community.

Education

As a Community Based organization, BOK has identified the lack of vocational training in South Kabuoch as a major contributor to unemployment and poverty. To help train and equip our youth, we have identified courses such as tailoring, masonry, welding, carpentry, and mechanics. We appeal to well-wishers and seek partners to help revive the local polytechnic and embark on this noble cause.

Economic Empowerment

As a nonprofit, Community Based Organization (CBO), we work to eradicate poverty and enact social change through education and sustainable development in underserved communities. We create a cooperative network of small local groups who – through training and support, are empowered to create income-generating schemes. Our Economic Empowerment pillar aims to address youth unemployment in Kenya by partnering with groups to improve livelihoods through enterprise development, value-added agriculture, agribusiness, and ecopreneurship, reducing vulnerability to societal ills. In order to guarantee that we provide significant philanthropic contributions to address communities' pressing needs and concerns, we are also combining humanitarian response with sustainable philanthropy.

On behalf of Kuni's family,I, Eveline Ochieng Ouma, would like to thank the entire B.O.K foundation for the financial support I received via check in August last year. I am currently pupil at Ober primary school in class eight. I pray that doors of success open in whichever levels the foundation so wishes to reach in helping the larger community. I am proud to be associated with such wonderful people. My grandma also wishes to thank the B.O.K family for the wonderful gesture in relation to the NHIF/SHIF program that is underway, being that she is amongst the first beneficiaries. On that notice, she prays for the entire team on their endeavors. May the good Lord help BOK foundation to achieve its goals.

Benard O | July 15th, 2024 Designation

The beginning of the year 2024 was thick and dark for me based on the future of the little girl Scovia since she had what it takes in terms of knowledge. She was very brilliant and had a bright future, but how this was to be achieved was a nightmare given that both her parents were not in a position to make her realize her dreams. I was torn into pieces on how the little angel would realize her dreams and forced to look up, down and everywhere to find who and where I would get help to enable me make the little angel realize her dream. I reached out to different people and organizations to achieve this, and to my happiness, light started coming through the tunnel when I approached Mr. Mark Odero's family showed willingness to help the little angel realize her dream by being ready to assist her in her education. This opportunity is hard to come by, which makes me stand by Mr. Mark Odero's family even though the little angel landed a Government Education Scholarship for her Secondary Education. On behalf of John Adek Ojwando and Teachers of Ober Primary School Kabuoch School, I acknowledge and appreciate "Beacon" Mr. Mark Odero's family for being ready to come in handy for the needy .
